How do I close the Internet correctly on windows vista?

Everytime I close out of the window for internet explorer. A box shows up saying something about having two options of having "internet explorer search for a solution and then close" or to just close. But then it doesn't even really close when I click to just close or click the x button. It also won't let me download some stuff and that box shows up. How do I fix this?

  1. If you want to close Internet Explorer without that problem occurring, you need to run Windows Task Manager. Start>run>taskmgr - OR - Hold down Shift+Ctrl+Esc. Now, in the right hand column, look for iexplore.exe. Click it, and select End Process, and select Yes.
If the problem still occurs, I highly recommend completely removing Internet Explorer from your computer, FOREVER. Download Mozilla Firefox. It's 100% Free, faster, safer, more reliable, and more awesome. You can simply go to google or download.com and search Firefox 3.0.1, that's the latest version of Firefox so far.
