How do I close the Internet correctly on windows vista?
Everytime I close out of the window for internet explorer. A box shows up saying something about having two options of having "internet explorer search for a solution and then close" or to just close. But then it doesn't even really close when I click to just close or click the x button. It also won't let me download some stuff and that box shows up. How do I fix this?

How do I share an Internet Connection between two sets of devices on different floors?
I have a DSL Modem upstairs. It has four Ethernet ports. My computer is plugged into one of the Ethernet ports with an Ethernet cable. It connects to the Internet through the Modem.
But the problem is, my other computer, my Xbox 360, and my PlayStation 2 are downstairs. How do I get the Internet connection from the DSL Modem upstairs to work with my PC, 360, and PS2 downstairs? Do I need to buy a Wireless Router, put it downstairs, and have it wirelessly connect with the modem upstairs? I cannot run 3 Ethernet cables from downstairs to upstairs, mainly because it isn't very practical, but also because my computer room upstairs and my computer/game room downstairs are on opposite sides of the house. So how do I share the connection?

How do connect to the internet through a local network?
I live near a public library and they provide a new public wi-fi network. I have already a pci ethernet card and I have installed it on my computer. My computer says I am connected to the network and the speed is 100mbps, but when I open Internet Explorer, a page connot be displayed appears.
Why does this happen? If it matters, I also have a dial-up connection. Even when I disconnect the dial-up, I still can't acess the internet through the network. What should I do?

How does an Internet Service provider connect to the internet?
If an internet service provider, provides internet, how do they connect, if they use another service provider, then where does that provider get access to the internet?
If they use a server then how does the server get access and if there is one universal service provider then how did that one get access, and if you can use a server to get an ISP, then couldn’t anyone just buy a server and get free internet excluding the server cost?

If the the other computer downloads a file from the internet the other computer slows down. Is there a way so that the 2 computers will have access to the maximum amount of bandwidth?

New Content Delivery Wordpress Blog Plugin

New Content Delivery Wordpress Blog Plugin
I just discovered a new Wordpress blog plugin that will post and drip-feed content hourly or daily based on your preference. The content is in the form of questions & answers and is highly keyword targeted. If it is true that fresh content is what drives traffic to your blog and raises your search engine position then this is a must have.
Unique content is by far the best, but writing it yourself takes time. And that’s the biggest downside, zapping your time, especially if you have multiple niche sites. Keeping a site fresh requires contant attention with new content. Leaving it even a short preriod of time could have a bad effect, resulting in less traffic…
So what is the solution?…The WP answers plugin!
It not only retrieves content in the form of questions & answers from Yahoo Answers, the content is highly keyword targeted.
Not only will it post the actual question in the form of a blog post…
It also retrieves the “best answer” and adds as a post comment…
How sweet is that!
Just 5 simple steps and the search term is setup.
1. Enter the keyword or phrase to search Yahoo answers.
2. Enter how often you want to post a question & answer.
3. Select one of your blog categories.
4. Select the post author.
5. Select if you want to publish, pending review, daft or private.
Can it Really Help Your Blog?
The simple answer is yes. What ever your niche, WP answers! can help keep your blog updated with fresh content, plus it’s also highly targeted. AND remember… setup the keyword one time, then it’s completely auto-pilot. How about from activation to posting just 1 minute 13 seconds!…

McAfee Anti Virus Strikes Again

McAfee Anti Virus Strikes Again
Now that all is back to normal with my computer and the potantial disaster averted I feel compelled to briefly share my experience.
Up until yesterday I was using McAfee Anti Virus provided by my Internet provider as part of their package. About 10 days ago my machine was infected by a rather nasty browser highjacker that slipped thru McAfee somehow. Took a couple of hours to remove that and get things back in order using several 3rd party scanners.
I thought that was an isolated incident until I was infected 2 days ago by a very aggressive virus named MS Anti Virus 2009. McAfee failed to protect my system but only this time I nearly lost everything. This virus took over complete control of my machine. The more I tried to remove it the worse the situation got.
Thankfully I had a 2nd computer handy that allowed me to research exactly what I was dealing with and how to go about removing it. After 12 hours of trying every remedy I could find I finally was able to remove the proper registry files containing the offending virus.
As soon as I was back up and running I removed my McAfee and installed the free home version of Avast. All is running fine now and the protection seems to be at a higher level that provided by McAfee.
Not sure if this infiormation will help anyone reading but I feel better now that I have shared it.
